We want our children to have fun, meet friends and develop skills which will benefit them throughout their lives.
Our club is based on an army of parent volunteers passionate about providing our children with a fun, welcoming football club.
We have robust safeguarding protocols, and we have FA-qualified and DBS-checked coaches.
Read our chair’s report on enabling players.
Started 30 years ago by a small group of passionate parents, we now have over 220 girls and boys registered with the club. Our boys/mixed teams play in the Epsom and Ewell League, and our girls’ teams play in both the Epsom and Ewell League and the Surrey County Women’s & Girls League.
Our focus is on encouraging children to develop a love of football. Whether a boy or a girl, we aim to get them playing, encourage lifelong participation, and help them enjoy the game of football.
The focus of early years is participation and enjoyment; who they’re playing with is less important. For the 23/24 season we have introduced a ‘Mini Warriors’ section and are proud to partner with an EFL football club to deliver this new initiative. Delivered by professional Coaches, u6 boys and u8 girls will learn the basic skills needed to develop in the game. A ground breaking approach, this provides a clear development pathway for the players and a sustainable foundation for the Club moving forward.
Girls’ have the opportunity to decide whether to play mixed or girls-only football at Walton Warriors. Every player is different, and we always take an individual approach to player development. What could be suitable for one child might not be great for another, even if they have the same aspirations.
You can tell by what people say about Walton Warriors that this club cares passionately about its players and community.
